Tamiya 18664 1/32 SCALE Mini4WD Pro TYXIV (ME CHASSIS)

以高性能奔馳、樂在其中的四輪驅動賽車塑膠模型組裝套件，就是這款迷你四驅車 TYXIV。它是由操刀《DCR（Decross）》與《Cross Spear》系列等作品的頂尖設計師山崎隆之先生所設計的賽車，鮮豔的螢光綠色車身，採用以迷你四驅車不可或缺的輕量化與低重心為目標的緊湊造型。車身設計了意識氣流的進氣口與排氣口，前後輪拱並各附對應小徑・大徑輪胎的兩種款式；此外，還可選擇煙燻色座艙蓋，或與駕駛員人形一體的座艙零件，享受截然不同的風格。底盤採用驅動效率優異的雙軸馬達 ME，並標準配備競賽取向的超硬小徑低高度輪胎。

作為繼 MS、MA 之後第三款搭載雙軸馬達的底盤而誕生的，就是 ME 底盤。「ME」是「Midship（中置）Evolution（進化）」的縮寫，以「輕盈、柔韌、易於使用」為概念開發，底盤本體具備適度撓性，確保高度的路面追從性與驅動系的抗扭剛性，同時在維持 MA 底盤易於組裝特性的前提下實現輕量化。底盤本體與滾輪等 A 零件採用輕量高剛性 ABS 樹脂，軸承部分則採用摩擦阻力低的 POM 樹脂；前後保險桿為以螺絲安裝的分離式設計，齒輪比標準配備能發揮高速行駛的 3.5:1。

The TYXIV is a plastic model assembly kit of a four-wheel-drive racer engineered for high performance and pure racing fun. Designed by Takayuki Yamazaki — the hyper designer behind series such as the DCR (Decross) and Cross Spear — this Mini 4WD machine sports a striking fluorescent green body conceived in a compact form that pursues the lightweight, low-center-of-gravity ideals essential to Mini 4WD. Its body incorporates intakes and outlets designed with airflow in mind, while the front and rear fenders each offer two variants to suit small- and large-diameter tires; you can also choose between a smoked canopy or a cockpit integrated with a driver figure for a different look. The chassis adopts the ME unit with an efficient double-shaft motor, and racing-oriented super-hard small-dia. low-profile tires come as standard.

The ME chassis was born as the third double-shaft-motor chassis to follow the MS and MA. Short for “Midship Evolution,” it was developed around the concepts of being “light, flexible, and easy to use.” The chassis body offers just the right amount of flex to secure high road-hugging capability and torsional rigidity in the drivetrain, while also achieving weight reduction while retaining the ease of assembly of the MA chassis. The chassis body and rollers (A-parts) use lightweight, high-rigidity ABS resin, and the shaft bearings use low-friction POM resin; the front and rear bumpers are separate units attached with screws, and a 3.5:1 gear ratio is fitted as standard for high-speed running.
